Non-SLR Systems
- Our standard-weight Kinesis Black Belt (B107, B108 etc.) or the unpadded Kinesis Basic Belt (B206) is recommended for any of the systems or pouches below (rather than the Heavy-duty Belt).
- Leica and Contax and other high-end 35mm rangefinder cameras: The E330 Twin-Lens Pouch is ideal for one body and one or two additional lenses. It will work off or on the belt. The A126 will fit a G2 or M-series Leica with a short lens. The slightly larger A200 pouch will hold a few lenses and is a nice addition to the belt system because of the movable divider and compact size. The E110 lens pouch will hold one (or two if stacked) lenses. See photo of a suggested belt system below.
- 35mm Point and Shoots: The A126 is a compact option for compact digital cameras (such as the Nikon 900 series). The A200 is slightly larger, providing space for more film or cell phone.
- Digital Cameras: The A126 will fit smaller megapixel digital cameras (such as the Nikon 900 series or most Canon non-SLR digitals). The E330 is ideal for a digital "system" including a camera, charger and extra lens or two. Both have a front pocket for storage cards.
- Consumer Video Cameras: Although we don't make any cases specifically for video gear, the E330 is your best bet. The smaller A200 is also a possibility for a very small unit.

Medium Format Systems
With the Kinesis system, pouches are not permanently attached to the belt, permitting them to be worn at any place on the belt. Components are purchased a la carte for maximum versatility.
Most of pouches in this section are for the lenses, magazines and film for the medium format shooter and NOT for the camera itself. Although we don't have any pouches specifically designed for a medium format bodies (there are many dissimilar models, brands and shapes, 645, 6x6, 6x7, 6x8 etc.), you might look at the following options however: • for 645 cameras--E330 or a slip it in sideways in an E180 or E280 pouch. • for 6x6 or 6x7 bodies--E512 or C500.
Before picking a system, we strongly recommend you review our System Introduction page.

Large Format Systems
Below are several suggested systems for different applications and camera types. With the Kinesis system, pouches are not permanently attached to the belt, permitting them to be worn at any place on the belt. Components are purchased a la carte for maximum versatility.
The nice thing about a belt system for the photographer shooting location large format is that that the photog can move away from the boxy case which contained the camera. He can then shoot without laying holders down near the dusty ground. Your hands are also free to position the tripod as needed.
Before picking a system, we strongly recommend you review our System Introduction page.

[#8-RUNNER'S BELT]

This is an alternative for a non-photographic application
a ultra lightweight belt for running or cycling.
Shown is the Y305 compression strap which is fed through a special slot on this pouch, providing a stable three-point bounce-free ride. This same slot is now found on larger lens pouches (E180 up through E980).

[#9-MOUNTAIN BIKE SLICK ROCK BELT]

My early prototype testing of this product included a mountain bike trip on the Moab Slick Rock bike trail (in southern Utah). I used the Junk Drawer pouch + three 1-liter water bottle pouches (A131). We went in July -- 3 liters of fluid was considered a minimum.
Compared to a tradtional hydration pack, this set-up provided three unique features:
1. I was able to bring both Gator Aid and water, instead of just one or the other.
2. My center of gravity was lower providing more stability while riding (important for a novice like me).
3. Because the fluids were encapsulated in a foam-padded pouch, it keep the drinks cool for most of the ride.
