Heavy-duty traditional-shaped unpadded duffle bag with small zippered slip (flat) pocket on the outside. Constructed of tough 1000D nylon fabric with YKK's industrial-strength #10 self-healing coil zipper. A weatherproof flap covers the main zipper and also helps reduce zipper damage due to airport handling. Two compression straps with quick-release buckles are on the top of this bag.
Provided is a 5cm figure-8 attachment point on this bag so you can attach a Kinesis harness and/or Kinesis belt to convert this bag to a backpack for airport transport.

This bag is called the "max" because it is sized to the maximum dimensions for checked luggage on U.S. domestic flights.
This bag is perfect for transporting your internal frame pack. The S994 protects the pack straps & buckles from getting caught in baggage handling equipment -- the first time I flew with this bag, one of the 1,000-lb. test nylon compression straps got ripped off! 'Better that your $70-duffle bag gets damaged, rather than your $400 Gregory pack. (We now make the compression straps removable or field replaceable).
