Why We Use UPS for Domestic Shipments

We have found UPS to be the most reliable service for ground shipments in the Continental U.S.
They basically have a monopoly in the small parcel business. All packages are trackable online and they gurantee delivery times or refund the shipping amount

We normally do NOT use United States Post Office for orders valued over $38 because of: 1. insurance paperwork hassle. 2. The delay for us to drive to Post Office and process your order (UPS and FedEx pick up at our doorstep). 3. Steep insurance rates. 4. inability to track domestic packages online, and 5. No guranteed delivery time. If you REALLY want us to us the USPS, we can use them for an addtional $2-3. Your order may not ship til the next day and PLEASE don't e-mail us looking for a tracking number!
Problems with FedEx Ground: We tried FedEx Ground for three months and we had more complaints during that time than six years of prior service with UPS! Packages that should have taken 5 days took 3 weeks…packages were delivered but they had no delivery confirmation…packages were lost with no idea where it was seen last. FedEx Ground is a separate organization from FedEx Air (which provides great service for air packages). Because of their small driver base they simply cannot delivery packages in a timely manner -- especially to rural addresses.
